Rick has garnered the respect of many of the areas top musicians as well as many nationally known musicians. With
his experience in the industry, Rick realized that their was a need for
low cost instruments in the market, but understood that with a lower
cost often came huge sacrifices to the quality and sound, and therefore
enjoyment, of the instrument. So he took his love for music to a new
level by introducing the Allen Guitar. Rick went to Korea to a
manufacturer that produces many well known and nationally respected
name brand guitars and worked with them to create a new line of
instruments that would not only be a lower cost, but also of higher
quality and better sound than any other instrument for the price.
The Results? The Allen Guitar! An incredible sounding line of instruments,
introduced in 2001, that will last a lifetime, at a price that is
unbelievable.
It is the belief and foundation
of Allen Guitars, that an imported instrument made with the right
materials and design, can compete with any American instrument for a fraction of the cost.
The design on select Allen acoustic guitars includes a unique top which incorporates our revolutionary "I" beam brace technology.
The new brace actually reduces the mass of the brace while maintaining
its strength and allowing the soundboard of the guitar (the top) to be
more responsive to string vibration, increasing the volume of the
guitar and improving tone.
The finish of the new acoustic has also been drastically improved. The
finish restricted the top from moving and inhibited the guitars ability
to transfer vibration from the strings thus affecting the tone in a
negative manor. The custom Allen finish is the same
finish the factory uses on their violins with only 2 coats instead of
the normal 5, this new finish greatly improves the guitar's volume and
tone while still giving it a nice glossy look.
